Annual Red Dirt Run of Honor 5k/Half Marathon
Saturday, Memorial Day Weekend
The Red Dirt Run of Honor 5K/Half Marathon will be held on Saturday, Memorial Day weekend, at the Woodring Regional Airport in Enid, Oklahoma.
Run this flat, fast 3.1/13.1 mile 5K/Half marathon course through the red dirt of Northwest Oklahoma in honor of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice or for any military hero. See the event website online at OKreddirtrun.com.
A breakfast, ceremony with great prizes, entertainment, and unique awards will be distributed following the race.
Registration can be submitted electronically through www.getmeregistered.com when it opens.
All pre-registered 5K/half marathon runners will receive a shirt, personalized dog tags, and a frameable certificate.
Registration for the Red Dirt Run of Honor will also be open also on race day starting at 6:30 a.m. at the Woodring Wall of Honor.
Runners may designate the veteran they are running for or will be assigned a fallen hero or veterans to remember their sacrifices. Personalized choices must be pre-registered.
The proceeds benefit the Wall of Honor Legacy programs and the Travelling Vietnam Memorial Wall and Educational Center Project.
