Jack Toney - 3-Time Purple Heart Recipient and Purple Heart Ambassador for the Oklahoma Military Order of the Purple Heart.

The Purple Heart is a prestigious U.S. military decoration awarded to service members who are wounded or killed in action, symbolizing their sacrifice and bravery. We are creating an exhibit to honor those who have received the award.

We are seeking assistance in an initiative to raise awareness and funds that provide life-changing education for our next generation. Launching in January 2026, this initiative utilizes veteran education to interactively teach students in Pre-K-12 and patrons of the museum about the history, sacrifices, and experiences of service members earning the Purple Heart (PH).
Hearts for Heroes creates a service-learning opportunity for students. With your help, we can incorporate school-focused activities to bring our school community and businesses together for a good cause. Our 100% volunteer non-profit is offering great incentives for the schools or businesses that range from wristbands and plaques, to a virtual or in-person meet-and-greet with a PH spokesperson sharing their story and answering questions in real time.
For more information. If you have any questions about Hearts for Heroes or would like to connect with us to learn more, please reach out to Elaine Johns at 580-233-4530. The greatest casualty is to be forgotten. Your assistance can ensure that does not happen to our nation’s wounded and fallen heroes.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Volunteers can serve at the American Military Heritage Museum or at Oklahoma's official Vietnam War Monument at Woodring Airport.
We are currently seeking Purple Heart veterans who are willing to share their testimonies for our Voices of Valor Gallery. Interviews will be videotaped and be part of an interactive exhibit within the Purple Heart Gallery. Our date to dedicate the Gallery to the veterans is August 7, 2026.
